SaraJazz Biography

Hi, I’m Sara Gallitz also known as SaraJazz. Before streaming full-time as a comedic entertainer I was a touring musician – professional saxophonist. I am from Portugal but am living in Germany since 2012. I grew up speaking portuguese, german and English.

You will find me playing all genres of music; all types of games from challenging games like Dark Souls to shooters to story-based horror or indie games; comedy bits; interview shows with interesting people; fashion shows and make-up; talks about philosophy, art and current events.

I studied design in Portugal (FBAUL, Lisbon), and art history and philosophy in Germany (LMU, Munich).

The professional musician Sara Gallitz grew up in Portugal and currently lives in Germany. She played hundreds of paid gigs, and spent many years touring Germany and Europe with Michael Ausserbauer’s Tenor Steps. Sara recorded with Jazz on Vinyl, Lobstarr, Landluft, the single “Shine” from Superman’s Feinde, made an album with Tenor Steps and recorded with many other artists of various genres. Her songs and recordings were played in both european and american radio stations.

Although her roots are in jazz and blues, she now dedicates more time to soul, funk, r&b, hiphop, trip-hop, lofi, synthwave and EDM. In her career she played with greats of the jazz and blues genre such as Al Jones, Dona Oxford, Tuija Komi, members of the Spider Murphy Gang and many, many more.

I’m currently doing Twitch full-time – which means that I only accept and play gigs that I really want to do. I’m very lucky to have been part of the Twitch Yearly 2018 song collaboration by SOA and I officially played at TwitchCon San Diego 2019

Gamer since I’m 4 when my dad showed me games on his PC and we played games like King’s Quest 7 on DOS. With 6 I got a PS1 and was immediately hooked on games. I played a lot of adventure games and strategic games like Age of Empires and Command & Conquer on DOS and Win 95; played Gran Turismo, NFS, all Tomb Raiders, Risk and many 3D platformers on Playstation. I was a big WoW fan when it came out. As an adult I played all types of games and went back to oldies like Fallout 1 & 2, Skyrim, F.E.A.R. etc. As a streamer I’ve played everything from retro to the newest games. I can’t even make a list of games I’ve played because I’ve surely played thousands.
