CouRage Biography

Jack “CourageJD” Dunlop was born on April 23rd, 1994 in New Jersey. CourageJD’s Esports career began in 2014 when he landed an internship at Major League Gaming. The position would lead CourageJD to cast multiple high-profile Call of Duty events including the 2015 World Championship and MLG Pro League. In November 2015 CourageJD announced he would leave the MLG to join the Call of Duty World League as a Host/Commentator. After three years with the league Dunlop decided to step away from the Call of Duty Esports scene and pursued a streaming career on Twitch. CourageJD was signed as an Optic Gaming content creator in March of 2018.

Dunlop’s Twitch channel grew exponentially with the release of Fortnite in September 2017. CourageJD’s outgoing and funny personality have helped him gain a large audience on Twitch where he regularly streams alongside fellow streamers TimTheTatman, Ninja and DrLupo. With the immense success of Dunlop’s channel, he decided to leave Optic Gaming and focus on building his own brand. Notable highlights from Dunlop’s streaming career include getting a $70,000 donation from Mr. Beast after winning a Fortnite game and playing regularly with an entertaining ten-year-old named Connor. CourageJD’s experience casting Call of Duty helped him become one of the most prominent casters in the Fortnite Esports scenes. He has casted the Ninja Vegas event, E3 Pro-Am Tournament and various other Fortnite events. On May 31st, 2019 CourageJD announced that he would be joining 100Thieves as a content creator. He inked a deal with YouTube to live-stream exclusively on his YouTube channel.
