itsHafu Biography

Rumay “Hafu” Wang is an American Twitch streamer, and a professional World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and also a Teamfight Tactics player. The itsHafu tag was created in her early teens as she began her gaming career at 14 years old. She created her twitch channel in 24th May 2012.

Born on April 18th, 1991, Hafu grew her interest in video games at a very early age, and worked off of it, and was able to land herself a spot in the live-streaming community for being known as a very impressive World of Warcraft player, along with being seen as one of the best Hearthstone Area players in the world. Being a female in the gaming section for Twitch was a natural hardship she had to face while getting famous for what she does, she faced hardship after hardship; often being sexualised, and objectified just for playing a game that she likes. Facing sexist trolling on Twitch, she went through daily torment when she was playing World of Warcraft professionally; one of the stories she remembers most vividly is going to a WoW competition and running into a team called “Gonna Rape Hafu At Regionals”.

She’s spoken out about the injustice of what being a professional player can be like if you’re a female, along with the sexist aspects of what it’s like, because she put up with it on a daily basis.

In August 2019, she joined G2 Esports as a Teamfight Tactics streamer.
